Former University of Georgia star Herschel Walker stopped Hungarian fighter Greg Nagy in the third round Saturday
night in the Strikeforce promotion to win his mixed-martial arts debut.
Walker drove Nagy into the fence early in the third. After a flurry of punches, referee Troy Waugh called the fight.
”The experience was exciting,” Walker said. “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
Walker entered the fight at 47 years old and an 0-0 record. Nagy entered at 1-2 and 26 eyars old.
Walker turned his attention to MMA about 2½ months ago when he moved to San Jose, Calif., to train at renowned American Kickboxing Academy.
While we congratulate Walker for getting his first victory in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts, it was almost impossible to notice that his opponent, Nagy, lacked almost any skill set at all and nearly forgot to throw any punches in the three round fight.
What’s your thoughts? Does the 47-year-old Herschel Walker belong in the cage again or should he hang up the gloves?

I don’t see any reason why he should not fight again. He looked great. Granted Strikeforce is known for setting up celebrity fighters with no contest fights. I believe he’s got a good thing going. Do your thang Herschel.
