Sugar Bert Boxing Promotions Presents First Ever Atlanta Fight Saturday Night!

WORLD CLASS BOXING RETURNS TO ATLANTA WITH A WBC TITLE ON THE LINE

On Saturday, December 8, 2012, Sugar Bert Boxing Promotions will introduce itself to the Atlanta sports scene with the first edition of its “Saturday Night Lights Out” series.  The professional card will be headlined by Mike “Cannonhandz” Seals in an eight-round WBC cruiser-weight title bout.

Also featured on the card will be red-hot cruiserweight prospect Brian Howard (10-0, 8KO’s), former WBA title holder Omri Lowther (15-4), Olympic team finalist Jesus Tevara, Roberto Ceron (2-0) and making his pro boxing debut, MMA legend, Roan “Jucao” Carneiro.  Sugar Bert boxing promotions looks to bring “championship level boxers and boxing matches to the Atlanta area,” says promoter Bert Wells.  “In addition to the top level talent we will bring to the Atlanta sporting community, we’re looking to raise Atlanta’s stature in the sport of boxing to a level equal with its influence in other forms of sporting and entertainment,” Wells added.

Mike Seals has already won two regional titles and looks to up his profile by adding a major belt (WBC USNBC belt) to his collection.  Seals takes a huge step forward as he faces two-time world champion Byron Mitchell in the night’s main event.  Mike Seals is quickly becoming one of the most talked about names in boxing circles, as he has ended three of his last four fights in dramatic knockout fashion in the first round.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling the Sugar Bert Boxing Academy at (770) 457-0003 or on-line at www.sugarbertboxingacademy.com/purchasetickets.html .  Tickets are priced at $35 ($25 with advanced purchase) and $85 ($75 with advanced purchase).  Doors open at 6 p.m. ET with the first bout scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET.  The event is sponsored by The Athlete’s Foot and FanaticoSports.com in association with TITLE Boxing. The main events will be broadcast in taped delay on Azteca/Atlanta-Channel 4.  The weigh-in, which is open to the public, will occur Friday, December 7, 2012 at The Tavern @ J.R. Crickets in the Camp Creek Marketplace at 6 p.m.
